If he's a good person and you think you're compatible, then go for it. However, you must realize that he probably will (and should!) have his children come first. His kids are his kids and were there before you, so if say, you had plans and his daughter got sick, you would have to be willing to accept that your plans should be cancelled. Also, you need to be prepared to be nice to the kids and at least tolerate them. You don't have to replace their mother (nor should you try), but you should expect to be nice to them, but also treat them if say, you were baby-sitting. Their father makes the rules, but if they break one, you shouldn't let them get away with it, if it makes sense.
